Sweet little Maisie was the tiniest baby I have had in my studio for newborn photography in Richfield, Utah. She weighed just 4 lbs 8 oz at birth! She was not a huge fan of being unwrapped, so we mostly stuck to swaddled poses to keep her nice and snuggly and happy as you can see from this darling picture:

Before each newborn photography session in Sevier County, I send a questionnaire to parents asking about preferences for the session. These include colors, props, outfits, etc. Mom requested pinks, neutrals like whites and browns, and orange/rust. I discovered I don't have a ton of orange options, so of course I had to go order more from my favorite newborn photography prop stores. :)

I saw this adorable crate and couldn't help but order it. It's great for older babies who are sitting up as well - I can't wait to try it on milestone photo shoots! I made the little headband she is wearing and love how it turned out! I love creating unique photography props for my newborn sessions.

At the end of the Richfield newborn photography session, I took some of my favorite images to get of newborns, "mugshots." I just love all of her cute little expressions - especially the "angry" ones with her tongue sticking out.
