I grew up with this sweet baby's grandma! How's that for weird! I don't feel like we are old enough to be grandmas! :) His great great aunt taught me everything I know about playing the piano and organ. It was so fun having someone from my home town of Fillmore, Utah, come over to get their newborn pictures done!

Zilo's mom loved the look of a swaddled baby, but warned me that Zilo didn't really like it when they wrapped him. He did so good being wrapped during his newborn photography in Richfield, Utah though! I love the photos we were able to get of him all wrapped up and cuddly.

Isn't he just the sweetest little thing?

I usually try to get at least one shot of newborns in their just their diaper or "au naturel" unless the parents indicate they don't want that (my brother being one of those people! When I took newborn photos of his little guy years ago he told me, "no naked pictures"). However, Zilo was not a fan of the unclothed life and settled much better when he was wrapped or in soft little footie jammies. I still love how they turned out though!

That photo on the far right above is one of my most favorite newborn pictures I've taken. It shows his little feisty side in the cutest way. That was taken right before he tried to launch himself out of the little bowl - he was so strong!

I don't think I will every get tired of taking newborn photos in Richfield, UT on my little homestead bed. It is the perfect size for babies and they look so darn cute on it!

His little pouty lips were the cutest!
